Weeligious is a hilarious and thought-provoking new comedy show that dives into the surreal ideas of religion and idolatry and dares to ask the big question: what happens after we die?
Blending the absurd with sharp, existential musings, this deeply original hour is delivered by Adam Laughlin, a seasoned comedian with over 15 years of stage craft—and a firm favourite with audiences around the country. Equal parts ridiculous and profound, Weeligious is stand-up at its most unexpected.
Fresh from screenings at the Fantasia and Edinburgh International Film Festivals this year, BIHF present the Irish Premiere of writer/ director Julie Pacino’s feature debut I Live Here Now.
With shades of David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, a young woman checks herself in a derelict hotel and Nightmarish visions from her past come to haunt her.
Pacino’s feature is a darkly humorous psychological horror about female pain and identity.
BIHF celebrates the 20th anniversary of The Descent by welcoming one of the film’s stars Shauna McDonald to Belfast for a special screening of Neil Marshall’s claustrophobic horror classic.
When a caving expedition goes horribly wrong a group of women become trapped underground and find themselves pursued by a strange breed of predators.
Afraid of the dark? You will be!
BIHF has teamed up with Accidental’s Never Seen it Film Club for a screening of Ginger Snaps (2000) as part of the female rage strand from their festival’s summer programme.

The BIHF pays tribute to Horror legend Tony Todd who sadly passed away last November as they screen two of the actors’ iconic roles Candyman (1992) and Tom Savini’s Night of the Living Dead, which this year celebrates its 35th anniversary.
"What's your favourite TV show?
"For one autistic Donegal trans lad, it's Skivvies, an iconic teen drama about to enter its fifth season about his favourite character, Nick Braxton. After moving to Belfast to pursue his own coming of age story, he gets caught up in the debauched, messy hedonism of Gen Z queers. As his gender and sexuality waver, the TV glows brighter than the city lights and the lines between fiction and reality start to blur..."

Three comics. Three crises. One stage.
Jay fell into comedy by accident three years ago and hasn’t looked back—manic, upbeat, sometimes educational, Jay wants to keep comedy queer and weird. Meghan, your friendly neighbourhood meme queen, is serving thirty minutes of uncensored, unhinged shenanigans as she questions sincerity (and her entire comedic identity) on the cusp of turning thirty. And Heather? Heather has been leaving people North and South of the border in stitches since 2019 with her chaotic approach to everything from dating to simply being alive in this world.
Together, they’re bringing honesty, crisis, and queer-fuelled comedy to Accidental Theatre, because figuring yourself out is funnier in public.
