WRITERS-TO-WATCH DIGITAL SHOWCASE

Accidental Writers-to-Watch Digital Showcase is an exclusive opportunity for early-career writers to explore innovative ways of presenting their work off the page. Working with the digital team, they’ll showcase work in Accidental Theatre’s windows at the street level. Being selected offers writers the chance to work collaboratively with the digital team, build profile, and serves as an intriguing endorsement to publishers, funders and agents that you are a talented artist to watch!

Writers who are unsuccessful are welcome to revise submissions and resubmit, but this is no guarantee that they will be selected for the showcase.

Notes on applying to the Digital Writers-to-Watch Showcase

  • Submissions are welcome from any style, or genre— except horror and poetry.

  • Submissions must be no longer than 1,500 words, double-spaced, and presented in a readable font.

  • In addition to your piece, we ask that you include a note on how you think your work might be presented in the digital format?

  • Submissions must also include a short bio (100 words).

  • To apply applicants must complete the form, pay the small processing fee and then submit their work HERE

The Accidental Writers-to-Watch Digital Showcase offers early-career writers, selected for the showcase, the opportunity to show publishers, funders and agents that they are someone to get behind. Why? Because we understand the journey towards publication is a lengthy one, and that there are many significant milestones along the way. We appreciate that it’s important having work endorsed prior to the elusive publication, and how few opportunities that exist to get feedback.
