Following the government’s most recent announcement, we are sorry to announce that we are postponing all events for the next few weeks.

But don’t worry! Accidental Theatre will still be chugging away, working to produce great art and performance in these strange times. You can find our livestream schedule here:

2020 got off to an amazing start for us, and we hope to keep providing a space for those in the community who need it and the audiences who support us.

We will be back 🎭

COVID-19 Advice

For the next few months we are asking all bookers to follow current health department advice and not attend events & workshops if you start to feel unwell, even if you haven't travelled from other effected areas.

This will help ensure that Accidental can safely protect other patrons and our staff during this global crisis.

We have also already put in place lots of precautionary actions to safeguard you at our events, so if you do want to visit us you can do so in safety. We will also be expanding our livestreaming to cover 90% of our programming, so you won't miss out if you need to stay at home. You can find out more about this here.

We appreciate your support and understanding at this time and hope you stay safe.

Our Response to COVID-19

It's time to talk about COVID-19.

There’s a global pandemic on the loose, and governments around the world are either advising that their citizens do not attend large gatherings or banning them entirely.

Not a good time to be a little theatre, but the show must go on, and we currently have no plans to close or cancel any events unless the government advises us to. Some events may be postponed but otherwise everything will continue as normal.

We had already been taking extra steps to make the building as welcoming and safe as possible for our audiences, our facilitators and our staff. The health of everyone here is our top priority.

What we will ask is that if you are unwell please do follow government advice to rest and get yourself better. Boris said it, you have the PM's permission to chill and get back to full strength.

Understandably some of you may not want to visit AT or anywhere right now. So, we’re going to come to you, if you’ll have us.

We have done the occasional livestream before, but now we’ll be livestreaming as many of our events as we possibly can, when we have the artists’ approval.

That means that whether you’re self-isolating or simply don’t want to take the risk, you will still be able to watch our events.

You can find out more about our live stream right here.

We'll be updating this page with more of our events as they are agreed but do still know that we are open, so come on down for the full live experience!

Stay well everyone!
