The inaugural TERRAIN festival of New Music
The inaugural TERRAIN festival of New Music
Belfast's one day festival of new music.
Terrain Festival
TERRAIN is a new, one-day festival embracing modern classical and improvised music in the broadest possible sense.
Featuring some of our best local performers as well as exciting guests from the rest of the island, the programme is designed to give a flavour of what’s happening in new music right now, with terrific work by living composers from the UK, Ireland, Europe, the USA, Japan and Australia.
The festival also features fabulous improvisers playing solo and together for the first time.
Structured in groups of short performances, the day is packed yet easy to take in; it contains literally something for everyone and we can’t wait to share this wonderful music with you all.
Presented by New Horizons Music in association with Moving on Music and the Contemporary Music Centre; funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
