The Never Seen It Film Club
The Never Seen It Film Club is a little different, with discussions and events catered to our members.
Our films are shown in the main space of Accidental Theatre, where we throw out normal seating conventions and get comfortable, so come along to enjoy some classic big-screen epics, away from the distractions of home & phones, and connect with your fellow film buffs.
This is designed as a subscription membership as an experiment in building a community around exciting events and finding new ways to support Accidental the arts and artists. Your membership supports this programme directly and allows it to grow.

This season, Never Seen It Film Club explores six masterpieces crafted explicitly for adult audiences. These films use the unique visual language of animation to tackle themes that live-action often struggles to capture: politics, memory, war, trauma, and resistance.
From the hand-drawn rebellion of Wolfwalkers to the stark, rotoscoped tension of Tower, our lineup proves that animation is a powerful tool for complex storytelling. We’ll journey through the streets of revolutionary Tehran in Persepolis, witness the resilience of childhood in The Breadwinner, navigate the dystopian charm of Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, and face the devastating emotional honesty of The Plague Dogs.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or a skeptic who thinks animation "isn't for you," we invite you to join us for a season of films that are often discussed, but rarely seen on the big screen.
Each monthly screening is followed by an informal, welcoming discussion. No film degree required, just a curiosity and willingness to share your perspective!
The last film of this season is…Wolfwalkers (2020)
In a time of superstition and magic, when wolves are seen as demonic and nature an evil to be tamed, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn, comes to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last pack. But when Robyn saves a wild native girl, Mebh, their friendship leads her to discover the world of the Wolfwalkers and transform her into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.
Don’t be too sad the season is over because we just announced our new Pride Collection!
This July, we are back for Pride 2026 with something completely different. If you’re tired of safe, corporate-friendly Pride programming, welcome to RADICAL PIECES: The Queer Misfit Marathon 🏳️🌈⚡️
We are stepping entirely away from predictable blockbusters to celebrate the ultimate outsiders, beautiful weirdos, and boundary-pushers of queer cinema across two incredible double-bill weekends:
WEEKEND 1 /19th July 2pm/ Be Gay, Do Crime, Smash the System (15+) We're crashing through expectations with the high-energy, anti-hero punk animation of Nimona (2023), paired with the sweat-soaked, late-night neon-noir thriller Love Lies Bleeding (2024).
WEEKEND 2 /26th July 6pm/ The Origin of Wholeness: A JCM Retrospective (Strictly 18+) A deep dive into the legendary countercultural world of John Cameron Mitchell. Strap in for the brilliant glam-rock masterpiece Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001), followed by the raw, deeply vulnerable, and intimate search for connection in Shortbus (2006).
As always at NSIFC, there is absolutely zero film snobbery and no rigid film degrees required. Just amazing cinema, a relaxed room, and great informal chats with fellow film lovers afterward.
