Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th March

Starts @ 12-13 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast

SPOKE

In SPOKE, Accidental Theatre burrows into the neighbourhood around our pop-up theatre at 12-13 Shaftesbury Square.

SPOKE will bring to life a pantheon of tiny performances in the streets. With localities that have been nicknamed the Second City Centre and the Golden Mile, this often-overlooked community is home to some of Belfast’s oldest residential areas and most curious stories. With long-time residents and local artists, we’ll discover the sights and sounds, history and fables, characters and quirks that have shaped this place. Audiences are invited to see it anew with a mini mobile theatre festival.

You can walk the streets or jump on a bike to wheel your way through our theatrical adventures.

On both days, the hub at 12-13 Shaftesbury Square will also host: music, screenings, talks, coffee, and a chance to choose your own theatre adventure.

Each tiny play in SPOKE will illuminate a special corner of the city, all within walking or biking distance of the hub. Grab a map and explore our neighbourhood (past, present, and imagined) through sparkling new writing and gripping performances.
