EXPERIMENTAL SEries
The Experimental Series is a space for writers who dare to challenge the limits of form and storytelling.
We know that experimenting with structure can feel risky. There’s often pressure to follow traditional conventions—but not every story fits inside those boundaries. Trying to force your work into a familiar mould can hold it back. That’s why we’ve created a supportive, curious community that values innovation and embraces creative risk-taking.
The next instalment of the series will take a more structured approach. This time, we’ll delve into three bold contemporary texts: Milkman by Anna Burns, Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski, and Room by Emma Donoghue. Together, we’ll examine how each work challenges narrative norms, its impact on the reader, and what these approaches can teach us as writers.
These sessions are designed to spark conversation about form and structure, and offer space for participants to ask questions about their own writing, connect with fellow writers, and perhaps begin to discover—or refine—their voice.
