What a Character with Órla McGovern

Make the stage truly be your playground and never be stuck for an interesting choice. This workshop will help you create instant and believable characters of all shapes and sizes. We’ll explore space and the limitless amount of ‘stuff’ there is to use onstage, and bring awareness to our physicality. Truthful characters are a gift to any scene.

Órla is a Director of Improv Fest Ireland. She is also Artistic Director of The Sky Babies (Improv Troupe), The Spontaneous Theatre People (Arts Collective), Moth and Butterfly (Storytelling/Improv Project), and a founding member of The Irish Improv Party (Collective). Órla regularly teaches and performs improvised theatre at festivals and events, around the world, in addition to her work as a writer, scripted performer and storyteller.
