Acting Level 1
This is an introduction course lasting 6 weeks. Across the 6 weeks students will be introduced to naturalism using the methods of Stanislavski. Learning the basics of Stanislavski's approach based on his book 'An Actor Prepares'. The course will take the actor through a set of practical sessions putting some of the core principles of Stanislavski's methods into practice. Once complete students will then be able to move onto Acting Level 2, putting Units and Objectives into practice.
Acting Level 2
The Acting Level 2 course lasts 6 weeks. It is open to those who have completed Acting Level 1 or who already have a basic knowledge of Stanislavski. Across the 6 weeks students will be introduced to putting units and objectives into practice. This technique developed by Stanislavski is one of the key building blocks of his method of naturalism. The course will take the actor through a set of practical sessions and script work. Once complete students will then be able to move onto Acting Level 2 (Performance) where they will create a short performance piece based on Stanislavski's approach in his book 'An Actor Prepares'.
