1 - 5 August 2018

Belfast Improv Theatre and Accidental are proud to host Belfast’s first Improv Comedy Festival. Improv acts from as far afield as Shanghai and as close to home as Dublin will be performing their unique form of comedy over the course of five evenings.

Improv Comedy was introduced to mainstream audiences in the UK and Ireland through the hit TV series ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’, in which improvisers delivered laugh-a-minute sketches all made up on the spot. We’ll have plenty of that during the festival, as well as longer forms of improvisation, including:

An improvised Shakespearean play!

Musical comedy!

Laser comedy!

2-person sketch shows

A murder mystery! (gasp!) … and much more!

We’ll have over 15 shows over the five evenings. Each night’s line-up will be released in mid-June, but we’ve got a limited number of festival passes to give out right now, granting entry to all shows for the duration of the festival.
