Deadlock: A Black Comedy

Deadlock: A Black Comedy

from 10.00

They say that when you die, your spirit must haunt the place of your passing until any unfinished business is attended to; unfortunately for deceased Stormont Special Advisors Mike and Jim (SPADs), this means wandering the empty halls of Parliament Buildings, where there’ll be no return to business any time soon.

Deadlock is an existential comedy about life, death, politics, and values.

Deadlock: A Black Comedy

Deceased Stormont Special Advisors (SPADs) Mike and Jim are making the most out of their afterlife at Stormont’s Parliament Buildings, but their reverie is about to be disrupted by the arrival of property developers, who intend to turn the building into a luxury hotel. Upon encountering Ulidia, a young radical who would rather see the building turned into something more socially useful, they are forced to come to terms with the choices they’ve made. Exactly what makes the afterlife worth living?
